When I was a little girl, my parents and I would jump in the car to drive around and look at people’s homes and their Christmas decorations. It was something I always looked forward to and continue to do with my kids. (Even the grown one when she’s in the mood.)
In recent years though, this old tradition has gained popularity with Halloween. Some of these homes are choreographed light shows. Others have actors to scare you and some are actual walk-through haunts! I get more excited about these Long Island Halloween Decoration drives than I ever did with the Christmas ones. Halloween is my favorite holiday.
Being a native of Long Island, I’ve compiled a list over the years of ones worth checking out and I am sharing them with all of you via my Google Sheet and Google Map! As the 2022 season goes on, I will try to update it with 2022 confirmation. UPDATE 9/29/2022: Witches Hat Icons are CONFIRMED for 2022! I will continue to update as I go!
Some extra goodies we take along with us that make it a lot of fun include: hot cocoa (or coffee), a glow-in-the-dark Halloween Throw, and a decorated car!

I hope you enjoy one of my cheap, fun traditions of my Long Island Halloween Decorations to drive by! If you find any that are no longer good or want to be added to the list, just leave a comment below!
